The Adaxa Suite incorporates OpenLDAP to authenticate users when they login.
OpenLDAP is the de facto Open Source reference implementation of the Internet standard Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. OpenLDAP needs to access a backend database of information against which it can authenticate the details being provided by the user at the time of their logon.
The Adaxa Suite provides:
- a centralised database of user/contact information which is made available to OpenLDAP and all other components of the Suite which need to access information about users/contacts (e.g CRM, Telephony, Document Management indexes).
- a central control panel where administrators can maintain demographic and permissions information to enable control over each users’ access to the components of the Adaxa Suite.
